Sungold Field Days Information

The Sungold Field Days is one of the largest dairy related field days in Australia, and is an important event for the Southwest Victorian dairy industry. It provides farmers with the opportunity to view first hand, the latest technological advances in farming, all at the one location.

The 2009 Sungold Field Days was a great success with over 480 exhibitors and 12500 visitors through the gates. Our 29th annual event is shaping up to be just as successful with a great variety of exhibitors and plenty to see and do. Features at this year’s event include machinery display and demonstrations, soil and fertiliser advice, pasture information, the latest technology in milk harvesting equipment, financial advice, tools and hardware supplies, motor vehicles and farm bikes.

The A.J. Rea marquee will feature a mixture of industry related businesses, home wares and art & craft exhibitors, while the Hillside Market marquee will showcase local art and craft products. A ladies fashion parade, guest speakers and cooking demonstrations will feature daily. For the children there will be an animal farm, air-castle and train rides.

The Sungold Field Days official luncheon will be held on Friday 19th. The Standard Dairy Industry Dinner will be held that night and will feature a guest entertainer, as well as the auctioning of painted milk cans with the money raised going to a local charity. The winner of the prestigious “On The Land” Rural Achiever Award will also be announced. Local food and wine will feature on the menu.

The Sungold Field Days are an overwhelmingly successful occasion for dairy farmers and exhibitors alike, showcasing our strong local dairy industry to the wider community. There is sure to be something of interest for every member of the family.
